Senior Claims Adjuster (Liability)

Location: Remote from Florida, United States; the role services one client located in south Florida.

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex, litigated, and high-exposure liability claims.
• Determine coverage, liability, damages, reserves, applicable insurance, and risk-transfer opportunities.
• Develop settlement, litigation, and defense strategies with clients and defense attorneys.
• Lead or participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials with defense counsel.
• Maintain accurate claim files, correspondence, diaries, action plans, and status reports.
• Monitor applicable laws, statutes, regulatory requirements, licensing, and continuing education.

Requirements

• Active Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (5-20 or 6-20).
• At least five years of experience handling liability claims and subrogation.
• Experience with general liability, auto liability, complex liability, and professional liability claims.
• Experience managing complex, litigated, and high-severity claims.
• Strong negotiation, communication, organization, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and attend mediations, claim reviews, and client status meetings as needed.

Nice to have

• Spanish bilingual ability.
• Experience with public entity claims and exposures.
• AIC, CPCU, or equivalent industry designation.
