What you will do

• Contact insurance carriers to obtain timely processing of patient claims and overturn denied or underpaid claims.
• Draft and submit appeals to insurance companies, providing necessary documentation like Op Notes and Invoices to expedite payment.
• Manage accounts receivable using practice management systems (Epic, NextGen) and payer portals.
• Collaborate with leadership to increase client collections and ensure facility KPIs are met.
• Maintain detailed daily activity records, batch logs, and prioritize work queues based on dollar value and age of accounts.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable.
• Ability to communicate professionally on the phone for the majority of the workday.
• Knowledge of medical coding, billing terms, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) programs.
• Experience with Epic or NextGen software is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
