What you will do

• Directly manage a small team of cloud engineers, handling hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and career development.
• Develop, implement, and enforce cloud governance frameworks and policies across Azure, AWS, and SaaS platforms.
• Oversee multiple Microsoft Entra tenants, managing identity lifecycles, cross-tenant synchronization, and SAML/OIDC authentication.
• Create and enforce policies using IaC and policy-as-code tooling such as Terraform, Azure Policy, and AWS SCPs.
• Manage hardware security key (YubiKey) lifecycle and phishing-resistant authentication policies for FedRAMP environments.
• Monitor cloud usage and spending to identify and implement cost optimization strategies.

Requirements

• 7+ years in cloud engineering, operations, or governance with a strong focus on Azure and AWS.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience leading technical teams.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Entra (ID, Conditional Access, PIM, Identity Governance).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred) and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Strong IAM fundamentals, including SAML, OIDC, RBAC, and JIT privilege elevation.
• Must be based in the US and possess permanent work authorization without need for sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated environments like FedRAMP, SOC 2, or NIST 800-53.
• Experience with Microsoft Government Cloud (GCC High, Azure Government).
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust security frameworks and Azure Virtual Desktop.
