Director of Sponsor Operations (Clinical Research)

Salary: $150,000 — $170,000

What you will do

• Lead the overall strategy and execution of the Sponsor Operations function for enterprise and strategic programs.
• Establish operational standards and KPIs to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance across all sponsor projects.
• Oversee multiple enterprise sponsor portfolios, managing end-to-end delivery and risk mitigation.
• Develop scalable delivery models, SOPs, and workflow frameworks to optimize handoffs between Product, Engineering, and CX.
• Act as the senior escalation point for enterprise sponsor relationships and translate client feedback into product roadmap priorities.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of Program Managers, Study Managers, and Team Leads.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 5-7+ years of experience in clinical research technology, data management, or sponsor operations.
• Strong background in clinical data management and CDISC standards (CDASH, USDM, SDTM).
• Proven experience managing enterprise sponsor or CRO relationships across multiple studies.
• Deep understanding of clinical trial workflows and experience with eSource, EDC, or CTMS platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HL7 FHIR, API-based integrations, or structured data exchange models.
• Experience overseeing large-scale data migration or transformation initiatives.
• Background in a CRO, sponsor organization, or clinical technology vendor environment.
