Junior Plumbing Engineer

Location: On-site in Rochester, Albany, Buffalo, Elmira, Ithaca, Poughkeepsie, Syracuse, or White Plains, New York, United States

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year

hirify.global provides building engineering services covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural engineering for new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, and design/build projects.

What you will do

• Develop plumbing and fire protection concepts, strategies, construction documents, and engineering reports.
• Design plumbing, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, smoke control, and fire protection systems.
• Perform building and fire code reviews, egress analysis, fire and smoke modeling, and hydraulic calculations.
• Design restrooms, domestic water and sanitary systems, piping, and compressed gas systems for industrial and medical clients.
• Support field work, multidisciplinary coordination, construction administration, project schedules, and financial performance.
• Interact with clients, prepare design option and cost-benefit analyses, write proposals, and maintain client relationships.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience with a professional A/E services firm is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Science is preferred.
• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• New York Professional Engineer’s License is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in one of the listed New York offices.
