Facility Electrical Assessment Consultant 1 (Electrical Engineering): Performing electrical assessment of facility assets for water, wastewater, and power facilities with an accent on asset management best practices and technical support. Focus on developing onsite inspection plans, performing deenergized tests, and evaluating test results to provide repair and maintenance recommendations.

Location: Hybrid. Preferred locations include Houston, Gaithersburg, Bloomington, Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, Charlotte, Tampa, Tualatin, Dallas, Walnut Creek, and Atlanta. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Develop onsite inspection plans for electrical equipment including transformers, MCCs, and generators.
• Perform deenergized tests, such as vibration and thermography.
• Provide technical support and oversight for third-party contractors performing energized assessment work.
• Review electrical test results and prepare technical reports with repair and replacement recommendations.
• Manage the structuring and utilization of asset data and information.
• Support the execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs and develop maintenance plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5-7 years of electrical design or testing experience.
• Knowledge of FERC, IEEE, and NEC standards.
• 4+ years of experience in a business or consulting environment.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of electrical principles and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens.
