Field Evaluations Engineer (Engineering)

What you will do

• Independently determine project scope and develop plans of investigation for complex product evaluations.
• Conduct on-site product evaluations and electrical testing, including frequent travel.
• Communicate technical requirements and procedures to clients and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
• Develop specialized test methods and equipment for new or unusual products.
• Resolve complex engineering issues and provide technical assistance for plan reviews.
• Represent the company at meetings and provide presentations on code and certification topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of eight years of directly related experience.
• Expert knowledge of NEC, building codes, and conformity standards.
• Demonstrated experience with electrical test equipment and conducting electrical tests.
• Must be located in the Western US, preferably California, and near an airport.
• Ability to travel frequently, including some international travel.
