Operations Staff Attorney

Location: Remote (United States); Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM local time

Salary: $65,000–$69,750 USD per year

What you will do

• Review draft immigration court filings, including EOIR motions and briefs, under senior attorney guidance.
• Identify issues and make edits to court filings and other legal documents before submission.
• Communicate filing, motion, and brief updates to other team members.
• Review a high volume of court-related matters and meet daily case-review goals.
• Conduct legal research on immigration law topics relevant to EOIR court proceedings.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and active membership in good standing of a state bar required.
• Ability to follow detailed directions and manage goal-oriented case-review work.
• Computer skills with MS Word, MS Excel, Dropbox, and MS Outlook.
• Ability to support clients living in America who are seeking documentation and family unity.

Nice to have

• Experience using case management software.
• Interest in immigration law.
• Immigration experience is not required; training is provided.
