Law Librarian (AI)

Location: Remote US

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year plus share options

What you will do

• Conduct in-depth legal research, statutory checks, and case law analysis for attorneys across practice areas.
• Structure and maintain precedents, templates, practice guides, document archives, and legal taxonomies.
• Manage access to Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg Law, and other legal research databases.
• Share knowledge through research memos, current-awareness updates, and training.
• Review content generated by Lawrence for legal accuracy, valid citations, current statutes, and reliable references.
• Partner with AI, Product, and Engineering teams to improve the platform's legal research capabilities.

Requirements

• MLIS, MLS, or equivalent qualification; a JD is an advantage.
• Experience as a law librarian, legal research analyst, or in a similar role at a law firm, law school, court, or legal publisher.
• Expert command of US legal research methods and tools.
• Experience organising legal knowledge through precedent banks, taxonomies, intranets, or knowledge management systems.
• Strong accuracy, communication, problem-solving, prioritisation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Interest in applying AI to improve the legal system.

Nice to have

• JD qualification.
• Hands-on experience with legal AI tools.
• Previous experience in a start-up or scale-up environment.
