What you will do

• Fabricate and assemble piping systems using various joining methods, including brazing, soldering, threading, and welding.
• Install and repair heavy mechanical components such as boilers, valves, pumps, compressors, and regulators.
• Analyze technical drawings and schematics to plan layouts and determine material costs.
• Conduct pressure and leak testing on pipes to ensure durability in high-stress environments and compliance with safety codes.
• Perform general maintenance and related duties for steam systems at the customer site.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of Steam Fitting experience within a government facility.
• Expertise in steam fitting and the ability to perform maintenance on steam systems.
• Proficiency in joining metals (steel and copper) and using trade tools like saws, benders, and threaders.
• Ability to lift heavy pipes and maneuver in tight, hot, or uncomfortable environments.
• English fluency (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) is required.
• Must be able to pass a government background check.
