What you will do

• Operate, maintain, and repair large steam-generating boilers and auxiliary equipment at the customer site.
• Monitor steam pressure, water levels, and combustion efficiency using gauges, meters, and computerized control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, such as replacing valves and gaskets, to prevent equipment malfunction.
• Sample and test boiler water and adjust chemical treatments to prevent rust and scaling.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and maintain detailed operational logs.
• Ensure strict adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Maryland (MD) Stationary Engineer Grade 1 license (500 or more horsepower).
• At least 5 years of experience operating boiler plants, with at least 2 years specifically as an MD Grade 1 Stationary Engineer.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a government background check.
• Physical ability to work in demanding environments, including bending, lifting, and climbing.
