What you will do

• Operate air pollution control (APC) systems, turbine generators, and associated boiler equipment.
• Manage fuel feed systems, including High Angle Conveyors, augers, and fuel feeders.
• Perform daily routine inspections, troubleshoot equipment, and issue work orders for malfunctions.
• Execute lockout and tag-out (LOTO) procedures and manage permits for confined spaces and hot-work.
• Monitor power plant systems and take immediate corrective action in response to operational alarms.
• Coordinate with Auxiliary and Back Plant Operators to ensure safe and efficient facility operation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of APC systems, turbine-generator functions, and water chemistry principles.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights).
• Must complete a municipal waste combustion course within one year of hire.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs, work at heights, and operate in confined spaces.
