What you will do
- Develop innovative solutions in coherent optical transmission, optical networks, and fiber sensing.
- Lead and participate in research and advanced development projects, demonstrating technical excellence at conferences.
- Organize and carry out laboratory system experiments and field trials.
- Evaluate novel technologies for optical transmission systems and fiber sensing to inform new product development.
- Consult R&D and PLM teams on novel technologies and support the transfer of research results into products.
- Contribute to intellectual property rights by developing novel technologies and product concepts.
Requirements
- PhD, Diploma, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related area.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in optical telecommunication R&D.
- Profound understanding of fiber optics, optical networks, and digital communications.
- Hands-on experience with optical components, RF equipment, modulation, coding, or digital signal processing.
- Solid programming capabilities and excellent scientific writing skills.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
