What you will do

• Integrate MANET/mesh radio systems (e.g., Silvus, Persistent Systems) into platform architecture across mechanical, power, RF, and network interfaces.
• Define and implement integration approaches for antennas, RF front-ends, and IP networking interfacing with autopilots and payload stacks.
• Configure and optimize UAV-to-GCS command-and-control links to ensure reliable telemetry and video across mission profiles.
• Set up multi-node mesh topologies to enable UAV-to-UAV connectivity and coordinated swarm operation.
• Design and execute structured test campaigns (bench, HIL, and field trials) to characterize throughput, latency, and range.
• Translate field findings into concrete configuration improvements and provide data-driven support for system selection.

Requirements

• Professional background in Electronics / Communications Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Hands-on experience integrating MANET/mesh radio or tactical datalink systems into larger platforms.
• Practical experience with spectrum analyzers, RF link testing, and network diagnostics.
• Must be a citizen of a NATO member state due to export control and security regulations.
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, IP networking (OSI model), and Linux networking environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with specific MANET vendor ecosystems and management tooling.
• Knowledge of tactical datalink bands, waveforms, FHSS, and encryption.
• Familiarity with military communication standards and secure transmissions.
• Scripting experience in Python or C++ for test automation and instrumentation.
