HVAC Mechanic

Compensation: $34.66 - $39.59 per hour

What you will do

• Install, service, and repair environmental-control systems in commercial establishments.
• Fabricate and install ductwork using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.
• Maintain oil-fired boilers, including water tube, fire tube, and sectional boilers.
• Maintain commercial kitchen equipment such as walk-in units, reach-in boxes, ovens, steamers, and ice machines.
• Test joints for gas leaks and replace defective electrical controls, thermostats, and wiring.
• Provide after-hours and holiday shift coverage, as well as support for event set-ups and office moves.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess Universal HVAC Certification.
• Valid state issued driver’s license with Real ID.
• Knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.
• Ability to follow blueprints and engineering specifications.
