Assistant General Counsel (Pro Builder)

Location: LG offices in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey; Alpharetta, Georgia; or Lincolnshire, Illinois. Limited travel of approximately 10% may be required.

Salary: $180,000–$225,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Provide general legal support for the Pro Builder business, which sells and installs appliances and other products for new-home and residential construction projects.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex sales, installation, construction, services, supply, distribution, and vendor agreements.
• Advise on antitrust, licensing, regulatory, insurance coverage, and other legal issues affecting business operations.
• Review marketing materials, press releases, presentations, white papers, remarks, and other external communications.
• Manage or support pre-litigation matters, litigation disputes, government agency actions, and subpoenas.
• Coordinate reporting, cross-functional stakeholders, and outside law firms when required.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and at least 5–7 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience negotiating construction and/or supply agreements with residential builders or similar parties.
• Construction industry and commercial negotiation experience.
• Strong organizational, execution, negotiation, and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive timelines.
• Ability to work independently and with accountability within a multinational corporate group.
• Applicable New Jersey, Georgia, or Illinois Bar license, or the ability to promptly obtain an in-house counsel license.
