What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, and evaluation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including system optimization.
• Develop engineering design packages, process flow diagrams, specifications, and technical memoranda.
• Perform complex process calculations for filtration, disinfection, biological treatment, and solids handling.
• Prepare feasibility studies, master plans, and necessary permitting documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, mechanical, structural) for integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical quality assurance throughout project delivery.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in water and/or wastewater treatment engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Familiarity with treatment process modeling and regulatory coordination.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with facility upgrades and state/federal water regulations.
• Proficiency with hydraulic and treatment design software.
