Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 base salary per year plus a 10% annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, operate, and secure scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Lead platform engineering initiatives that improve developer productivity, deployment velocity, and operational efficiency.
• Develop Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code patterns, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and self-service platform capabilities.
• Improve observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, system reliability, performance, and resilience.
• Partner with Security, Architecture, Product, and Engineering teams on cloud security, infrastructure hardening, access management, compliance, and technical direction.
• Evaluate AI-powered engineering tools, lead architecture reviews, and mentor engineers across DevOps, Platform Engineering, and SRE.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Deep hands-on experience designing, operating, and securing AWS environments.
• Strong Terraform experience and experience with container platforms such as ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Experience with observability platforms such as New Relic, Datadog, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetry, plus knowledge of networking, cloud security, identity management, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages, along with the ability to lead initiatives and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale, multi-account AWS environments and internal developer platforms.
• Experience implementing SRE practices including SLOs, SLIs, and reliability metrics.
• Experience with cloud security, compliance, governance, AI-powered developer tooling, or cloud-native AI services.
• AWS Professional or Security Specialty, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar cloud certifications.
