Business Analyst (GovTech)

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as tiered support for payroll and system-related inquiries, including intake and initial resolution.
• Analyze and troubleshoot production issues to improve operational efficiency and mission objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and manage business and system requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for software development teams.
• Extract and analyze data using SQL and spreadsheets to generate written reports.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and business requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or production support.
• Proven experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience supporting the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance and be able to upgrade to a Top Secret (TS) clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel skills for data analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Oracle PeopleSoft Payroll and/or HCM.
• Experience in tiered support environments and incident management.
• Proficiency using SQL, SQL Developer, Jira, or similar project tracking tools.
