What you will do

• Prototype, evaluate, and iterate on self-driving algorithms using real-world data and high-fidelity simulations.
• Develop pragmatic solutions for perception, motion forecasting, planning, traffic modeling, and sensor simulation.
• Collaborate with platform teams to deploy research findings into production systems.
• Ensure engineering excellence by writing high-quality, well-structured, and tested code.
• Stay current with AI/ML literature and contribute to research publications and the company blog.
• Work with large datasets and the hirify.global World simulator to improve algorithm robustness and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience working on applied research projects and turning theoretical ideas into practical solutions.
• Proficiency in Python with a strong focus on code efficiency and quality.
• Experience handling large datasets for machine learning applications.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD in ML, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Experience shipping machine learning models into production.
• Proficiency in PyTorch, Rust, C++, and/or CUDA.
• Previous experience in self-driving technology or publications in top-tier AI/ML conferences.
• Experience with concurrent, parallel, and distributed computing techniques.
