What you will do

• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers to foster their professional growth and success.
• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and ML engineers to develop and maintain efficient ETL pipelines.
• Establish and enforce data architecture standards, processes, and best practices across the organization.
• Contribute to the execution and planning of the overall data team strategy.
• Balance individual contributor tasks with management responsibilities as a player-coach.
• Ensure alignment and success across the broader Data Organization.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or in a similar technical role.
• Proven experience managing 3 or more people with accountability for their growth.
• Expertise in Python and fluency in SQL.
• Experience in creating automated testing and applying design patterns.
• Ability to lead projects from idea generation through to delivery.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of ML/AI application deployment and monitoring.
• Experience in healthcare technology or large-scale distributed systems.
