What you will do

• Design and customize switchboards, PDUs, and RPPs based on specific customer and project requirements.
• Create detailed mechanical and electrical CAD drawings in SolidWorks adhering to UL 891 and UL 67 standards.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation and communicate technical changes to stakeholders.
• Review and verify drawings to ensure manufacturability and technical alignment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Manage multiple simultaneous design projects and align deliverables across time zones.

Requirements

• Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Demonstrated experience designing UL 891-compliant low-voltage switchboards.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with UL 67, UL 1561, or medium voltage switchgear design.
• Experience with PDU or RPP design, including branch circuit protection and busbar sizing.
• Experience using SolidWorks PDM systems for CAD file management.
• Background in modular data center or critical power infrastructure.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
