Senior Accounting Manager (AI)

Location: Fully remote for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone; listed locations include Miami, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Greer, South Carolina; Jacksonville, Florida; and Charlotte, North Carolina.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with US GAAP, FAR, and internal control frameworks.
• Prepare variance analyses, management reports, external reporting, and audit deliverables.
• Improve close timelines, workflows, controls, scalability, and financial data accuracy.
• Use Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, BlackLine, automation, and AI-enabled finance tools to optimize processes.
• Manage, mentor, and develop staff accountants while leading cross-functional finance initiatives and supporting M&A integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public and/or corporate accounting.
• Strong experience with general ledger management, month-end close, US GAAP financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint and BlackLine; AEC industry experience is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Government contracting and FAR compliance experience.
• M&A transaction and post-acquisition integration experience.
• Familiarity with AI tools, RPA, or advanced analytics in finance.
