What you will do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of staff accountants.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Identify and implement process automation opportunities, including AI-driven tools and RPA.
• Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Support M&A activities, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.

Requirements

• CPA required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public or corporate accounting.
• Strong expertise in general ledger management, month-end close, and US GAAP financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Deltek preferred).
• Must be based in the Eastern Time Zone for remote eligibility.
• Experience supporting external audits and internal controls compliance.

• AEC industry experience.
• Exposure to government contracting and FAR compliance.
• Experience with M&A transactions and integrations.
• Familiarity with AI tools and advanced analytics in finance.
