Salary: $75,000 base + $20,000–$40,000/yr in travel bonuses.

What you will do

• Execute deployments of up to two months at Navy bases and international sites.
• Launch, recover, and remotely monitor USVs during active missions.
• Interface with Navy, Coast Guard, and civilian personnel to provide mission updates.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic hardware and electronic systems.
• Collaborate with the San Diego development team by reporting bugs and feature requests.
• Plan missions using electronic devices and maps, accounting for weather and environmental variables.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to export control laws.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods, including international locations.
• Comfortable with strenuous physical activity and handling heavy equipment in all weather conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a patient, resourceful approach to troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Experience with maritime operations, small boats, or autonomous vessels.
• Prior military service.
• Familiarity with basic networking, electronics, or software troubleshooting.
• Experience with RC vehicles, video games, or forklift operation.
