What you will do

• Own the initial platform deployment into the government IL-5 environment and build the CI/CD pipeline using portable templates.
• Manage the end-to-end pipeline including build, test, static/dynamic security analysis, SBOM generation, and gated production promotion.
• Architect the delivery platform in AWS GovCloud, focusing on account structure, network paths, identity integration, and container strategy.
• Implement continuous security controls and produce evidence for the System Security Plan and authorization decisions (ATO/cATO).
• Direct a small team of platform, cloud, and cyber engineers to set engineering standards for branching, secrets handling, and IaC.
• Establish and report delivery and reliability metrics such as deployment frequency and lead time for change.

Requirements

• 8+ years of DevOps and DevSecOps engineering experience with at least one production pipeline owned end-to-end at scale.
• 3+ years working in DoW or federal cloud environments at IL-4 or IL-5, preferably AWS GovCloud.
• US Citizenship and Active US Secret clearance are required.
• Hands-on expertise in containers (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD tooling.
• Direct experience supporting an ATO or cATO authorization process, including artifact production for assessors.
• Proven track record of meeting hard deadlines in environments with external constraints on access and approvals.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• Experience with Iron Bank container certification, STIG, SCAP, ACAS, and FIPS requirements.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock or comparable managed inference services within government boundaries.
• Familiarity with secure-software platforms such as Second Front (Game Warden), Stormbreaker, or Black Pearl.
• Knowledge of DoD PKI and integration with enterprise ICAM or IdP services.
