TL;DR

Complex Injury Paralegal (Legal): Supporting a specialized team in managing large loss and catastrophic injury claims with an accent on court documentation, expert liaison, and medical record review. Focus on progressing complex EL, PL, and RTA multi-track cases from receipt to resolution.

Location: Hybrid; attendance is required at least 1 day per week in the Birmingham office (consideration also given to Manchester-based applicants).

What you will do

• Prepare, file, and serve court documents and manage court orders and hearing dates.
• Liaise with experts, counsel, insureds, and witnesses regarding conferences and hearings.
• Manage medical records, arrange expert appointments, and draft detailed summaries of medical reviews.
• Review photographic and surveillance evidence and prepare a precis of the findings.
• Handle document redactions to maintain legal privilege and ensure GDPR compliance.
• Conduct legal research and manage payment arrangements.

Requirements

• Must have experience working in a paralegal or similar role within a personal injury team.
• Minimum education of 5 GCSEs (grades 5/A-C) with an established interest in law (LPC or ILEX preferred).
• Solid understanding of the litigation process in a file handling or assistant capacity.
• Strong communication, literacy, and IT skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
