TL;DR
UX Designer (Medtech): Designing intuitive and accessible user experiences for a federal health care platform serving 11 million monthly users with an accent on user-centered design and accessibility. Location: Remote, but must be based in one of the following 16 US states: Alabama, California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia.
Salary: $77,326 – $125,655 (Full-time equivalent, prorated for part-time status)

What you will do
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to conceptualize and prioritize product features, user flows, and interfaces.
- Translate requirements into design solutions, including personas, journey maps, storyboards, and scenarios.
- Create wireframes, low- and high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Conduct and synthesize user research and stakeholder insights to inform iterative design improvements.
- Apply and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency across high-traffic platforms.
- Work with engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and implemented per specifications.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design delivering user-centered digital products.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.
- Must reside in one of the 16 specified US states to satisfy CMS residency requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including responsive layouts and prototyping.
- Experience implementing Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Experience working on large-scale public sector digital services (CMS or Medicare.gov preferred).
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Drupal frontend or backend environments.
- Experience with Storybook for documenting UI components.
- Experience with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics or Qualtrics for data collection.
