What you will do

• Own the technical success of customer deployments from scoping through launch.
• Build and maintain API integrations, internal tools, and customer-specific solutions.
• Debug live issues across voice, workflows, and agent behavior in production environments.
• Translate customer operational constraints into technical requirements for the engineering team.
• Identify deployment patterns to create repeatable processes and platform capabilities.
• Establish best practices and technical standards for the Forward Deployed Engineering function.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or technical customer-facing roles.
• Ability to write and ship production-quality code.
• Experience owning ambiguous technical problems end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication skills and experience translating business needs to engineering execution.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience building API integrations with vertical SaaS platforms (e.g., ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro).
• Knowledge of voice AI, conversational systems, or real-time production workflows.
• Background in home services or operationally complex vertical software environments.
• Experience as an early hire helping define a new technical function.
