Compensation: $130K – $160K + Equity

What you will do

• Own the monthly close process end-to-end, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Manage and optimize the ERP and connected finance systems such as payroll, expense, equity, and billing.
• Develop AI-powered workflows using tools like Claude and Cursor to automate variance analysis and close tasks.
• Write SQL to extract and validate data across systems to build dashboards for real-time financial visibility.
• Partner with GTM, Product, and Operations on finance-adjacent projects and data infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience, combining public accounting and high-growth startup exposure.
• Hands-on operational experience owning the monthly close and managing reconciliations with complex data.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets, writing joins, and debugging data issues.
• Experience implementing or administering a finance system or ERP.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate accounting or finance workflows.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in New York.

Nice to have

• CPA license or active pursuit of certification.
• Familiarity with billing and revenue platforms like Stripe, CPQ, or Metering platforms.
• Experience building financial data models or BI tooling.
