Software Engineer V (C++)

Salary: $85–$95 per hour on W2

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and evaluate systems-level software, operating systems software, compilers, and network distribution software.
• Review and approve modifications to databases and database management systems.
• Direct database development, define project scope and limitations, and estimate delivery time and cost.
• Plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and system improvements.
• Implement security measures to protect computer files and sensitive information from unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.
• Develop software-use and acquisition standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in C++, asynchronous programming, and pointers.
• Understanding of data systems, backend development, distributed systems, horizontal scaling, and hypervisor settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle, troubleshooting, computer hardware, and software.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, independent-work, time-management, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in natural language processing.
