Drivetrain Control and Simulation Engineer (Automotive): Support the concept, design, and validation of transmission control systems using in-house tools and Simulink with an accent on modeling and virtual calibration. What you will do

• Design, develop, and validate transmission control systems to meet product requirements.
• Build and maintain simulation and control models following corporate modeling standards.
• Define comprehensive test plans and validation conditions for components and systems.
• Implement automation processes to execute simulations efficiently.
• Participate in design reviews to share results and incorporate feedback from process partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience in drivetrain systems design, development, modeling, or simulation.
• Expertise in Python and/or MATLAB scripting.
• Working knowledge of Git, Ivy, and engineering data management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Must be based in Monterrey, Mexico.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of powertrain, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and gears.
• Working knowledge of control theory and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) validation.
• Experience with component and machine-level software integration.
• Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE), optimization, and robust design methods.
