What you will do

• Define and execute the frontend technical strategy on a year-long horizon for critical business projects.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to manage technical risks and trade-offs.
• Act as a force-multiplier by advocating for scalable technical solutions and operational processes.
• Oversee system availability through monitoring, triage rotations, and robust alerting policies.
• Establish and advocate for high code review and design standards across the engineering organization.
• Mentor and develop team talent through consistent feedback and leadership by example.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience architecting web applications using declarative frameworks like React or Vue.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proven track record of driving horizontal initiatives and leading cross-team technical plans.
• Experience delivering major system components or deprecating legacy functionality.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, from low-level idioms to high-level architecture.
• Must be based in one of the specified Canadian provinces to be eligible for this role.
