Salary: $184,000 - $208,000

What you will do

• Serve as the technical lead for hardware test frameworks, owning architecture and technical roadmaps.
• Design and build Python-based test frameworks and tooling for hardware testing.
• Write drivers and abstractions for test instruments and ground support equipment.
• Architect test results databases and user interfaces for mission-scale data.
• Integrate test frameworks with CI/CD and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure.
• Mentor engineers and establish high standards for code quality across test software.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or eligible for export control authorization (ITAR/EAR compliance).
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership on complex projects.
• Expert-level Python proficiency with a history of building shared frameworks.
• Experience developing software that controls and tests physical hardware.
• Working knowledge of electronics and lab test equipment (e.g., VISA/SCPI, CAN, Ethernet).
• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.

Nice to have

• Experience testing spacecraft, launch vehicles, or aerospace hardware.
• Familiarity with embedded C/C++ applications.
• Experience with pytest or similar hardware test foundations.
• Proficiency with time-series databases and dashboarding tools like InfluxDB or Grafana.
