What you will do

• Design and implement simulation software for the verification of TeraWave's flight software.
• Collaborate with test leads to deploy simulation environments across software-only, HWIL, and real-time platforms.
• Work with hardware and autonomy engineers to define software requirements and behavioral boundaries across subsystems.
• Develop models to test flight software across various nominal and off-nominal operational scenarios.
• Conduct software integration and validation testing using software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in spacecraft, simulation, or embedded software development.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
• Knowledge of inter-process communication (IPC) mechanisms such as sockets, shared memory, or message queues.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and containerized environments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with NASA’s Trick or cFS software architecture.
• Knowledge of orbital mechanics and propagation models.
• Experience with RTOS such as Linux, QNX, VxWorks, or RTEMS.
• Understanding of flight hardware interfaces including CAN, I2C, SPI, and RS-422/485.
