What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for avionics systems integration, validation, and verification (IV&V) activities.
• Design and manage system-level test plans and infrastructure for airborne and ground-based applications.
• Ensure adherence to aviation standards (e.g., DO-160) and certification objectives for safety and quality.
• Own the system delivery for hardware and software elements, ensuring airworthiness and operational viability.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Systems Engineering team, including performance reviews and budget management.
• Act as the primary technical interface for internal development teams, external partners, and customers.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems, Software, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in avionics or aerospace engineering, including leadership or technical lead roles.
• Demonstrated experience with certification frameworks such as DO-160.
• Proficiency with x86 and ARM architectures, Linux/Windows, and aerospace I/O (ARINC 429, CAN bus, RS-232/422/485).
• Experience with IV&V tools including Git, Jira, Confluence, Xray, and scripting (Python, Bash).

Nice to have

• Mechanical aptitude for sizing interconnect wiring, mounting equipment, and soldering/crimping.
• Experience with lab tools such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Oscilloscopes.
