What you will do

• Design and implement robust dimensional and relational data models to support cross-functional analytical needs.
• Build and maintain scalable dbt transformation pipelines ensuring high data quality and performance.
• Partner with data engineering to manage Delta Lake tables and pipelines within the Databricks platform.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate business requirements into durable data products.
• Implement data quality tests, SLAs, and monitoring to ensure the reliability of critical datasets.
• Develop tools and agents to enhance LLM-based code generation and system maintenance capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or Canada
• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data modeling with enterprise-scale data.
• Expert-level SQL skills with a focus on query optimization and performance tuning.
• Extensive experience with dbt, including testing, documentation, and package management.
• Strong programming skills in Python for automation and data manipulation.
• Demonstrated experience using AI/LLM coding assistants with a disciplined approach to code review and testing.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.

Nice to have

• Experience with advertising, ad tech, or media data.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Mode.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, SOX).
