TL;DR
Senior Backend Software Engineer (Python/AI): Building and operating AI-powered backend services to integrate LLMs into production environments with an accent on reliability, observability, and scalability. Focus on designing end-to-end AI features, optimizing latency and cost, and transitioning agentic workflows from experiment to production.

What you will do
- Design and ship end-to-end AI-powered features, owning quality, latency, and cost.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs capable of handling real production load.
- Implement comprehensive observability using metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data science teams to move AI experiments into production.
- Perform critical code and design reviews to ensure system robustness and efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be based in Brazil.
- Strong proficiency in Python and a track record of operating production backends.
- Expertise in AWS (specifically Lambda) and event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Postgres).
- Proven experience with distributed systems and microservices using Kotlin, Go, or Java.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with LLM-based systems in production, including prompts, retrieval, and agentic workflows.
- Proficiency with data pipelines (e.g., Airflow).
- Experience using AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
