What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, managing performance and career growth.
• Design and implement data architecture and infrastructure for a secure, interoperable platform across hirify.global products.
• Drive data lakehouse design, data modeling standards, access controls, and query optimization for performance and cost efficiency.
• Establish engineering best practices for data pipelines, including code review, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
• Own roadmap creation and execution, including capacity planning and prioritization with stakeholders.
• Partner cross-functionally to translate data needs into scalable pipeline designs and platform extensions.

Requirements

• Location: U.S. based
• 7+ years of experience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams and delivering high-quality software.
• 3+ years of direct management experience with product-focused engineering teams.
• Proven ownership of production data pipelines at scale, ideally with Apache Airflow (DAG design, scheduling, backfills, sensor/operator patterns).
• Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake (or comparable cloud data warehouse such as Redshift or BigQuery), including performance tuning and cost management.
• Strong SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred); experience with data governance/lineage/data quality and regulated environments.
