What you will do

• Set direction for data systems by providing architecture guidance, standards, and hands-on partnership across hirify.global Technology.
• Strengthen Snowflake governance, access controls, security, observability, and cost management to improve reliability and scalability of warehouse workloads.
• Improve validation and testing of data-related changes across distributed environments to increase release confidence across warehouse, services, and application-facing platforms.
• Guide datastore and architecture decisions across operational and warehouse systems, balancing reliability, scale, maintainability, and product needs.
• Lead cross-application datastore initiatives, including migrations and platform upgrades, with emphasis on security, governance, and alignment to architecture standards.
• Partner with application and platform teams on data ownership, service boundaries, and data movement across microservices and event-driven systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing, improving, or supporting production platforms across data warehousing, operational datastores, distributed systems, or data architecture.
• Hands-on production experience with Snowflake, including governance, access controls, security, observability, performance, reliability, and cost management.
• Strong relational database experience, ideally Postgres (schema design, indexing, query optimization, transactions, scaling, and production troubleshooting).
• Experience guiding datastore and architecture decisions across Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven systems (Kafka and Debezium preferred), including retries, idempotency, ordering, and change data capture.
• Strong communication and technical judgment with a track record of influencing across teams to improve reliability, testing, governance, and observability.
