Salary: Minimum €70,000 gross per year

What you will do

• Own the technical direction and delivery of solutions within a product development team.
• Shape system architecture, refine work breakdowns, and advocate for performance and security.
• Perform deep code reviews to guide the team toward better system quality and engineering practices.
• Develop PoCs and build new features, enhancements, and technical scopes.
• Lead strategic cross-product engineering initiatives to improve maintainability and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to solve real user problems.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to work from Vienna, Austria (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office).
• Fluency in Python and preferably the Django framework.
• Experience building REST APIs and managing large-scale production systems.
• Product-driven mindset with a focus on intuitive, user-friendly tools.
• Daily use of AI tools (copilots, LLMs) and ability to integrate AI automation into workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers.
• Background working with data products and their specific challenges.
• Ability to demonstrate and drive adoption of AI-driven productivity within technical teams.
