Design Automation Engineer (EDA): Installation, maintenance, and technical support of design environments and PDKs for external foundry customers with an accent on EDA tools, flows, and methodology (TFM). Location: Hybrid in US (California, Arizona, or Oregon). US Citizenship and ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance (TS/SCI) are strictly required.

Salary: $117,620 – $227,270 USD

What you will do

• Manage the installation, maintenance, and technical support of the design environment, including automation scripts, EDA tools, flows, and licenses.
• Provide critical technical support for the hirify.global PDK and collateral to ensure smooth design ramp-up.
• Resolve tool and methodology issues for designers to facilitate successful TapeOuts.
• Collaborate with EDA providers to ensure required tool features are implemented with high quality.
• Develop automation scripts and checkers to simplify and accelerate the installation and use of design environments.
• Partner with compute engineering to provision and debug compute capacity, storage, and network batch systems.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain or possess an active US Government Security Clearance (TS/SCI).
• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of experience, or MS with 2+ years of experience.
• Proven experience in EDA tools, physical design, optimization, and tools flows/methodology (TFM).
• Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL and scripting languages including Tcl, Perl, and Python.
• Strong Linux experience with bash and tcsh.

Nice to have

• Active US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard front-end and back-end EDA tool installations.
• Experience installing foundry PDKs and flows (e.g., Cheetah).
• Deep expertise in design automation debugging.
