Report Developer (Healthcare)

Location: On-site in Nassau (East Meadow, NY), Long Island, United States; up to 10% travel may be required.

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop stored procedures, reports, and data extracts based on client requirements.
• Work with clinicians, end users, business analysts, developers, and testing teams to define, document, and validate reporting functionality.
• Maintain report code, improve functionality and efficiency, replace obsolete code, and implement coding optimizations.
• Manage changes, including activation and backout plans, project deliverables, technical documentation, and status reporting.
• Provide on-call support, troubleshoot production issues, and support clients with reporting needs.
• Provide peer reviews and on-site support during activations.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant experience, including technical support and maintenance for an assigned product.
• Ability to build stored procedures and functions and understand relational database concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services, Integration Services, and ETL processes.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and design appropriate report solutions.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle methods and problem-solving skills for software support.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in a digital healthcare environment is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Ability to code, maintain, and troubleshoot Medical Logic Modules.
• Knowledge of Altera solutions, Altera clients, and the healthcare industry.
