Data Engineer II (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable end-to-end processes for consuming, integrating, and analyzing large volumes of complex data.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformation algorithms, and ETL/ELT flows across on-premise and cloud-based environments.
• Write efficient queries against large and disparate data sources and monitor ETL/ELT performance, storage, distribution, and security compliance.
• Deploy analytics, machine learning, and statistical methods to support data discovery, predictive modeling, prescriptive modeling, and automation.
• Integrate and support data systems while collaborating with IT, research, and medical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years of combined Clinical IT and/or Research experience, or a master's degree in a related field with at least 2 years of such experience.
• Experience in data engineering and integration, cloud data environments such as Azure or AWS, and data warehousing ETL/ELT.
• Experience developing schemas, querying, managing, or curating Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server databases.
• Experience with Python, SQL, SSIS, or Informatica for ETL and data transformation.
• Experience with APIs or RESTful Web Services, XML, JSON, HL7, or FHIR.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI, relational and NoSQL databases, and enterprise clinical or non-clinical systems.
