Senior Fullstack Engineer (Observability)

What you will do

• Ship end-to-end features across the full stack, including React panels, Go services, and Jsonnet mixins.
• Develop, maintain, and scale infrastructure observability features in Grafana Cloud.
• Own projects from problem statement to production, including user feedback and validation.
• Represent the team's work through design proposals, demos, and roadmap discussions.
• Contribute upstream to open-source projects such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana Alloy.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for the services you own.

Requirements

• Experience in both backend (Go) and frontend (TypeScript/React).
• Must be based in the US or Canada (EST time zone).
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development using coding agents and LLM tooling.
• Working knowledge of the observability ecosystem, including Prometheus and Grafana dashboards.
• Strong written communication skills for a remote-first, asynchronous environment.
• Ability to work independently and advocate for team goals across the organization.

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to or maintaining Open Source projects.
• Experience building Grafana plugins, apps, or dashboards.
• Familiarity with Grafana Alloy or the OpenTelemetry Collector.
• Experience writing Jsonnet or other configuration-as-code languages.
• Prior on-call experience for the systems you have instrumented.
