Salary: $136,000 — $187,000 CAD

What you will do

• Design and deliver powerful enterprise functionality for SaaS customers, covering both login flows and self-service management.
• Drive technical improvements to the codebase and system architecture to ensure high reliability and scalability.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers on sound engineering practices and testing.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define feature functionality and user experience.
• Contribute to shared internal tooling and infrastructure improvements, including interactive testing stacks.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Canada.
• Proven experience with Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript) and maintaining public APIs.
• Experience working on fullstack applications with a solid understanding of frontend development.
• Proficiency with Docker and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously while mentoring team members.
• Experience with highly-reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with IAM/OAuth2 protocols.
• Understanding of DevOps culture and ability to write Terraform.
• Strong SQL knowledge for managing large datasets and optimizing schemas.
• Knowledge of security engineering and application security.
