Location: Hybrid role requiring presence in Barcelona, Madrid, Sao Paulo, Montevideo, or Buenos Aires.

What you will do

• Own and optimize DynamoDB production workloads, including data modeling, capacity strategy, and multi-region patterns.
• Design and maintain both relational and non-relational database systems, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Leverage AWS services (S3, KMS, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda) to build secure and observable data solutions.
• Implement automation-as-code for schema changes, operational tasks, and safety guardrails.
• Establish database observability and lead root-cause investigations for performance issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to handle emergency escalations.

Requirements

• Senior-level expertise operating DynamoDB in production, including single-table modeling and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud fundamentals and data platform security.
• Automation skills using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go, alongside AWS CLI and SDKs.
• Experience with DocumentDB or MongoDB administration.
• Clear communication in English and a collaborative mindset for working with distributed teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model in the specified office locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS MSK or Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Database Specialty).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (ECS/EKS).
