Senior Project Manager (Water Treatment)

Location: Herford / Günzburg, Germany; on-site role with international travel of up to approximately 25%

Salary: €67,000 minimum per year plus performance-based bonus; higher salary possible depending on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional product development projects from concept through successful market launch.
• Manage new product development, value engineering, and localization initiatives within the Treatment portfolio.
• Coordinate R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations activities.
• Define project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables while meeting quality, cost, and timeline targets.
• Identify risks, develop business cases, monitor project performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Present project updates, recommendations, and key decisions to leadership and collaborate with global stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of project management experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or product development environments.
• Experience delivering complex projects, leading cross-functional teams, and managing new product development or R&D projects.
• Knowledge of project planning, budgeting, business case development, and risk management.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, structured problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English required; German language skills are beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience in water, wastewater, environmental, or related industrial sectors.
• German language skills.
