Senior Project Manager (Federal Government)

Location: Must be based in Canberra, Australia (On-site 5 days a week)

What you will do

• Manage multiple concurrent ICT application projects from initiation through to closure.
• Facilitate project scope definition and refinement with business and ICT teams.
• Prepare and maintain project management artifacts including delivery plans, financial forecasts, and risk/issue registers.
• Lead regular project status meetings with agency stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for risks, issues, and conflicts between ICT and business units.
• Translate end-user business requirements into actionable technical specifications.

Requirements

• Must hold an active AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
• Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week in Canberra.
• 7-10 years of experience in Agile Project Delivery, preferably within Federal Government agencies.
• Strong experience in contract scope management and financial forecasting.
• Proven ability to lead technical groups and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• PRINCE2 or PRINCE2 Agile certification.
• MSP Certification.
• Certified Scrum Master.
• Experience in Law Enforcement related Federal Government Agencies.
