Strategic Sourcing Manager (Business Services & Marketing)

Location: Based in Sydney, Australia, with a hybrid working arrangement and regular campus collaboration.

What you will do

• Own commercial strategy and sourcing execution across professional services, consulting, staffing and labour, BPO, payment gateways, workplace and facilities, insurance, system integration, and related indirect categories.
• Lead complex negotiations with consultancies, outsourcing partners, professional services firms, and contingent workforce suppliers.
• Build category strategies, manage contract pipelines and renewal cycles, and improve spend visibility.
• Partner with senior stakeholders, Legal, Finance, and Risk to shape supplier decisions and balance speed, value, and governance.
• Use data, market benchmarks, and supplier insights to identify consolidation, cost optimisation, and improved commercial terms.
• Build scalable sourcing processes, playbooks, knowledge-sharing practices, and operating pathways.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or a related commercial discipline.
• Experience across indirect procurement categories such as professional services, BPO, contingent workforce, workplace, insurance, or marketing.
• Strong analytical, influencing, commercial negotiation, and supplier management skills.
• Experience creating processes, playbooks, or operating models from scratch and improving how a team works.
• Ability to operate independently at both strategic and executional levels in ambiguous environments.
• Experience in a high-growth technology company, professional services firm, or consulting environment is advantageous.
