Director, Corporate Controller (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX (expectation of 3 days per week onsite)

What you will do

• Lead the accounting function and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Own and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes through automation and speed.
• Develop accounting policies and internal controls while supporting external audits and tax compliance.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable, hirify.globalenue accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger operations.
• Mentor the Accounting Manager and collaborate with the CFO on accounting strategy and cash management.
• Drive AI-enabled improvements and evaluate new ERP or financial system enhancements to reduce manual work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred/required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a high-growth technology or SaaS company.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and hirify.globalenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
• Proven experience managing month-end close, external audits, and payroll/AP operations.
• Must be based in Austin, TX to fulfill the hybrid onsite requirement.

Nice to have

• Public accounting background from a Big Four or national firm.
• Experience with SaaS subscription hirify.globalenue and usage-based billing.
• Knowledge of equity accounting and stock compensation.
• Experience with modern ERP systems and a passion for leveraging AI in finance.
